Skiers and Snowboarders can enjoy a rare treat this Thanksgiving weekend! Thanks to recent cold temperatures, Liberty Mountain Resort will be opening for skiing and snowboarding at 9am on Friday, November 29, 2013. This is the resort’s first November opening since the 2000-01 winter season and one of less than a handful of November openings in its history.
Snowmaking operations, which began last Saturday and will continue throughout this weekend, have blanketed the mountain in snow and the resort anticipates opening with about 6 trails and 4 chairlifts in operation. Final trail counts will be available at www.libertymountainresort.com prior to opening on Friday morning. Hours of operation for opening weekend will be Friday from 9am to 10pm, and Saturday from 8am to 10pm, and Sunday, from 8am to 5pm. The resort will be closed Monday, December 2 thru Thursday, December 5 with scheduled reopening for the season Friday, December 6 at 9am.
Special pricing will be in effect for the entire opening weekend. Eight hour lift tickets will be $39 and night tickets (5pm to 10pm) will be $29. Our Learn to Ski or Snowboard Package for those over age 8 is only $39 and includes a beginner area lift ticket, rental equipment and a class lesson. For those who need a brush up on skills, class lessons for those over age 8 are only $10. The Children’s Learning Center will be open for 4 and 8 hour packages with midweek rates in effect.
