BLUE KNOB SKI AREA UPCOMING EVENTS

Blue Knob Ski Area, Claysburg

New for 2022 - 2023
Experienced skiers, as well as those of you looking to tackle some of the sweetest rides, will enjoy a visit to Blue Knob Ski Area. The resort is home to the highest skiable mountain with the most challenging slopes in Pennsylvania. Blue Knob continues to focus on upgrades and improvements to its snow making system. This year supplemental water and air lines have been installed to accommodate additional snow guns to ensure quality snow coverage all season long. Those interested in renting equipment will enjoy a greater selection of new ski boots, helmets, skis and snowboards at the Blue Knob Rental Shop.

Blue Knob All Seasons Resort is the highest skiable mountain with the most challenging slopes in Pennsylvania, with the longest and sweetest rides for skiers and snowboarders. In addition to our downhill skiing we offer snow tubing and groomed Nordic skiing. For the best skiing in all of PA come see us at Blue Knob.

Terrain
There's plenty of snowmaking firepower to cover the mountain's trails if nature doesn't cooperate, and about 75% of the 36 trails are protected by the snow guns. Six lifts serve a wide variety of terrain, from long, easy beginner trails to some fairly steep stuff on the lower half of the mountain. Bump runs, glades, and even a small bowl will keep better skiers and riders happy while intermediates have their own pod of trails (and even a couple of glades) to keep them happy. The mountain's 1072 feet of vertical is the state's second greatest. A terrain park, tubing operation, and cross-country trails round out the winter recreation possibilities at the resort. But its location in a state park means you can go snowmobiling on a network of marked trails, or challenge your cross-country skills on the park's hiking trails or service roads.

Mountain-top lodging and dining are available, and there's also an alpine village and conference center. The region's many small towns offer more lodging, dining, and shopping choices.
