Fall Foliage Scenic Lift Rides

A ride on Blue Mountain’s Comet Quad Chairlift, great for the whole family, is the perfect way to soak in the Pocono autumn colors. Riders or hikers can make their way down the mountain or take a six-mile hike over to Slopeside Pub & Grill for some lunch. The ride loads at the Comet Quad Chairlift behind the Valley Lodge. Advanced ticket purchasing is recommended, especially during Oktoberfest. $10 ticket is valid for one lift ride up and down the mountain. Blue Mountain’s Murder Mystery Night
Thursday, September 21; starts at 6:30 p.m.
Blue Mountain Resort presents the final of its Date Night Series at Murder Mystery Night, where participants are immersed in a thrilling murder-themed show held in the beautiful Vista Ballroom. The murder occurs shortly after a delicious four-course dinner begins. It is each table’s job to solve the mystery. Awards will be given to Detective of the Night, Best Actor and Best Actress. This dinner starts with Mystery Hors d’oeuvres and the 2nd Course is Salad with Blood Orange Vinaigrette or Victim’s Bone Broth Soup. Main Course choices include Grilled Salmon, Beef Wellington or Chicken Parmesan. For Dessert, Assorted House-Made Sweets. $75 general admission includes access for one person to enjoy four-course dinner and show. $250 VIP experience includes tickets for two with table for two, dedicated server, bottle of sparkling wine and a rose. Oktoberfest Festivities Return to Blue Mountain Resort
Saturday, September 30, and Sunday, October 1, in the valley, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Everyone’s favorite family fun is Blue Mountain Resort’s Oktoberfest celebration. It’s filled with hearty Bavarian-style food, the Biergarten, hayrides and live music. Polka Country entertains on Saturday and John Stevens Polka Band performs Sunday – both from 1 to 4 p.m. Free admission for the whole family. IDs checked at the gate for 21+ who wish to drink.
Thrilling Fright Time Zip & Climb at Summit Park High Ropes Course
Every Saturday in October; session start times are 5:30, 6, and 6:30 p.m. This exhilarating experience offers climbing, zipping and swinging through the trees with laser lights, glow sticks, fog machines, Halloween decorations and the fall nighttime sky of the Poconos. The five high ropes courses and Adventure Tour with zip lining, rock wall and free fall activity will be open. Buying tickets in advance is recommended. Event capacity is limited and does sell out. Guests must wear closed toe shoes. Crocs are not permitted. Guests should arrive at Summit True Blue Sports Shop at the top of the mountain 30 minutes prior to session.
Annual Monster Ball at Slopeside Pub & Grill
Saturday, October 28, from 8 p.m. to midnight. This bash encourages guests to come fully costumed to compete for Most Creative, Best Couple, Fan Favorite, Scariest and Sexiest costume prizes. The spooky event is a tons-of-fun-filled night with dinner and live music. Halloween drink specials will be available, and all guests who wear a costume will be entered into a prize raffle. This bash will have promo giveaways and many more surprises. Free admission. All attendees must be 21+ and present a valid ID (driver’s license, state ID, passport or military ID).
