From May 05, 2019 10:00 am until May 05, 2019 1:00 pmAt Ski ShawneeWelcome to the 3rd annual SSP Color Run at Shawnee Mountain! A 5K fun run or walk event designed for the whole family! Participants will be sprayed and doused in vibrant colors (non-toxic, corn starch color powder) while making it around the course. The terrain is pretty flat and also stroller and wheel chair accessible. You can skip, jump, run or walk - just come and have fun! You will love the color celebrations at the finish line and enjoy great energy with music, food trucks and other entertainment! This event is created and organized by the Summit School of the Poconos - Monroe County's first and only project based STEAM school! This is a rain or shine event. -
From July 05, 2019 7:00 pm until July 05, 2019 9:30 pmAt Ski ShawneeFIREWORKS DISPLAY GATES OPEN AT 7:00 PM AND FIREWORKS WILL BEGIN AT DUSK. RAIN DATE FOR THE FIREWORKS DISPLAY IS SATURDAY, JULY 6TH. Shawnee Mountain Ski Area is holding its annual Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks Display, which benefits the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Company. Bring your own chair or blankets for great slopeside seating. There will be an outdoor DJ, Uncle Sam Stilt Walker, Mark Clark’s “All American Magic Show” and various food vendors. Plus, a delicious Hickory Licks barbecue. The fireworks display will begin at dusk, between 9:00pm - 9:30pm, and are presented by the Interstate Fireworks Display Company. Coolers, outside food, pets, alcohol, weapons, fireworks are not permitted. Seating - Plenty of slopeside seating is available. Bring your own blanket/chairs and claim your spot on the hill. See the map below to make sure you are facing in the right direction. TICKETS & PARKING 100% of parking proceeds benefit the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Company. Coolers, outside food, pets, alcohol, weapons, fireworks are not permitted.

On August 10, 2019At Ski ShawneeSummer trail running is back at Shawnee Mountain! Test your skills with this 5K Trail Run. First, you’ll navigate the uphill wooded and rocky terrain. Then you’ll follow the winding course back down to the base of the mountain. Do you have what it takes to “Master the Mountain?!” WHERE: Shawnee Mountain Ski Area WHEN: Saturday, August 10, 2019; 9am Race Start Pre-race packet pick up at Shawnee Mountain: Friday, August 9 from 2pm to 5pm Saturday, August 10 from 7am to 8:30am There will be two water stations on the course and post race refreshments Award Ceremony scheduled for 10:30am.
