Hidden Valley, PA – Hidden Valley Resort’s fourth annual Spring Carnival is 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. March 9 and 10. The Resort welcomed the spring storm Wednesday that brought approximately 10 inches of snow to enhance skiing and boarding conditions and add to the mountain fun at this year’s celebration. The Carnivale Market Square includes music by DJ Donn, carnival foods, activities, crafts, games and prizes for all.
Free family-friendly carnival activities include snow rafting, a snow-mountain treasure dig, an obstacle course, snow golf, a limbo and hula hoop contest, balloon twists, face painting, coloring contests, ducky races, jewelry making and more. The tennis ball roll and cupcake walk add to the family excitement.
The festive atmosphere continues throughout the resort on March 9 with a 6 p.m. Jib Jam in the terrain park and a 7 p.m. Torch Light Parade on Cobra Slope. Guests can also enjoy live entertainment with Randy Myers from 4 – 7 p.m. on the Plaza followed by the JWP Band at Glaciers Pub 8 – 11 p.m.
The Hidden Valley Race Club is holding a special Spring Carnival Open Cup Race at 12:30 p.m. March 9. The race is open to skiers of all ages and ability levels and allows the participants to experience World Cup-style competition. Registration is 10:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. outside of the locker room on the plaza level. Cost is $5 per participant.
