It is hard to find someone that has not been touched by breast cancer in some way. At Camelback Mountain Resort, we feel the same and therefore have partnered with Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC) to help educate our staff and guests on the importance of an active lifestyle and early detection. To celebrate with survivors and friends, Camelback has planned a full day of fun events on Saturday, February 9th, 2013.
This is the third season where Camelback is turning the mountain pink in support of breast cancer education and early detection efforts. Last year, over $6000 was raised and 50% of the proceeds will benefit the Pocono Medical’s Breast Cancer Center. The remaining 50% will go to B4BC.
The day will be chock-full of pink; hats, pink bandanas and pink winter clothing will be available for sale. The grand finale raffle and ever-popular “Hunks & Honeys of Camelback SnowSport’s School” will take place late in the day where guests will bid on private lessons with SnowSport’s School heart-throbs.
“An active lifestyle is one of the key factors in helping to prevent breast cancer, or any cancer for that matter, so we decided again this year to dedicate an entire day to the cause, said Brian Bossuyt, Director of Winter Marketing for Camelback Mountain Resort.
