SEVEN SPRINGS, Pa. –Seven Springs Mountain Resort, Pennsylvania’s winter adventure headquarters, will open the slopes for skiing and snowboarding on Fri., Nov. 30, 2012!
Initial snowmaking began Nov. 23, with the resort’s snowmaking crew churning out fresh white snow on the Front Face of the mountain and the snow tubing park. After nearly a week of intense snowmaking, the resort has an average snow base of 16 inches.
“The entire team here at Seven Springs is excited to welcome back our guestsas we gear up for another wonderful ski season,” said Eric Mauck, Seven Springs’ CEO. “Our snowmaking crew was able to make a tremendous amount of snow this week and we thank them for their tireless efforts.”
Eight slopes and trails will be available to guests, as well as the Santa’s Beard terrain park with at least six features. All areas will be serviced by three chairlifts. The slopes will be open 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Fri., Nov. 30 through Sun., Dec. 2. Open terrain will include Tyrol, Stowe, Stowe trail, Cortina trail, Wagner, Phillip’s Run, Fawn Lane and Stowe Beginner Area.
Ski and board tickets will be one price for all sessions - $45 per adult and $35 per child ages 6-11. These tickets will be valid all day and can be purchased in the Ski Ticket Office. Midweek season passholders are also welcome to ski this weekend. Lodging is available this weekend for those who would like to escape to the resort’s winter wonderland and get in as many runs as possible.
Seven Springs Mountain Resort will once again partner with the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program to help make holiday dreams come true for children in western Pennsylvania. Seven Springs will offer $10 off ski/board tickets with the donation of a new unwrapped toy for the Toys for Tots campaign, Sun., Dec. 2. The five-year partnership has resulted in the collection of nearly 1,250 toys for children in the region.
