SEVEN SPRINGS, Pa. –Cooler temperatures, the gentle rustling of leaves on the ground and splashes of color adorning the trees have returned to Pennsylvania’s LaurelHighlands, signaling the return of Autumnfest at Seven Springs Mountain Resort! Pennsylvania’s premier four-season resort, proudly presents the 28th annual Autumnfest, a celebration of all things fall.
Once again, Autumnfest will have themed weekends. The first weekend, Oct. 6-7, will celebrate the fall harvest with plenty of pumpkins, apples and more. Come enjoy fine works of art including jewelry, paintings, pottery and more Oct. 13-14. Automobile aficionados will enjoy the antique car and tractor show along with all the festival favorites, Oct. 20-21. The fourth and final weekend of the festival, Oct. 27-28, will celebrate chocolate and chili - sweet and spicy, they both pair perfectly with an Autumnfest weekend in the mountains! Each weekend will feature vendors with an array of themed keepsakes, arts, crafts and products.
For the little ones there will be a petting zoo, pony rides, and The Kids' Zone tent filled arts, crafts, games and activities will keep them busy throughout the weekend. In the spirit of Halloween, there will be a kids' costume contest, Sat., Oct. 27. Ghouls and boys are asked to meet in the Kids' Fun Zone area of the festival grounds at 2 p.m. Judges will select winners for scariest costume, prettiest costume, and most unique costume. The parade through the festival grounds will begin at 2:30 p.m.
There will be performances by the captivating and talented Zany Umbrella Circus and a variety of musical entertainment, including The Delaneys, No Bad JuJu, Gashouse Annie and more. Besides the musical entertainment and novelty acts, guests can stroll the festival grounds and peruse the wares of numerous artisans and vendors, in search of the perfect keepsake. Wagon rides and chairlift rides to the top of the mountain will also be available. This relaxing ride is the perfect way to see the turning of the leaves in all their golden glory. Mountaintop tours can also be taken via the Alpine Slide, mountain biking and hiking trails.
After all the fun and games, the Seven Springs’ award-winning culinary staff will take care of grumbling tummies with the expansive Autumnfest Buffet serving carved top round of beef, herb-breaded pork chop, knockwurst, seafood pot pie and much more! Helen's Restaurant will be open for lunch 12-2 p.m., each Autumnfest weekend. Dinner service is also available 5-9 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday; 5-10 p.m., Friday and Saturday; and 3-8 p.m., Sunday. Save enough room to stop by the Foggy Goggle during festival hours! Pull up a seat, watch the game and enjoy a seasonal specialty beer or a piping hot cup of spiced cider.
