HELEN’S RESTAURANT HONORED WITH 2012 WINE SPECTATOR AWARD OF EXCELLENCE

SEVEN SPRINGS, Pa. – Helen’s Restaurant at Seven Springs Mountain Resort, Pennsylvania’s premiere four-season vacation destination, has been awarded the prestigious 2012 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence.

Helen's Restaurant is the perfect place for a truly fine dining experience by offering an upscale dining experience in a rustic setting with unique wine and food. Helen’s diverse and unique wine selection features over a hundred wines by the bottle and by the glass. The restaurant’s entire staff receives continuous training so they are able to recommend the perfect wines for Helen’s guests.  A complete wine list can be found online here.IMG_5364

Wine Spectator's Restaurant Wine List Awards recognize restaurants whose wine lists offer interesting selections, are appropriate to their cuisine and appeal to a wide range of wine lovers.

“Seven Springs is committed to making Helen’s a destination for special occasions, corporate gatherings, family get-togethers, as well as an outstanding resort amenity,” said Brian Annapolen, Seven Springs’ Director of Food and Beverage. “Building a wine list worthy of this recognition from Wine Spectator is a step toward that goal. We are very pleased that the program in place has made such an impact on the local dining scene so quickly.”

The restaurant’s placement to this distinguished list comes perfectly timed with the debut of its new menu. Continuing its commitment to excellence, each and every dish on the new menu at Helen’s features fresh creations from local ingredients. A complete dinner menu is available online here.

“At Helen’s, we weave longstanding traditions alongside fresh presentations featuring locally sourced ingredients,” added Annapolen. “We work diligently to provide a fresh farm to table cuisine paired with warm, gracious and attentive service.”

Helen’s will be featured in Wine Spectator’s August 2012 issue, which was released on July 24.

Dinner service at Helen’s is available 5-9 p.m., Tuesday-Thursday; 5-10 p.m., Friday and Saturday; and 3-8 p.m., Sunday. Reservations are requested. Please call (800) 452-2223, ext. 7691, during the day or ext. 7827 in the evenings.
