Seven Springs Mountain Resort Makes Cover of Snowboarder Magazine Seven Springs Snowboarder Magazine

SEVEN SPRINGS, Pa., Sept. 21, 2010 – Seven Springs Mountain Resort, for the first time ever, has made the cover of Snowboarder magazine.

On the cover of the October issue, professional snowboarder Austen Sweetin of the Forum team takes burning sensationalism to new levels at Seven Springs.

After the 2009-2010 season ended, the Seven Springs park crew demolished the 590-foot Superpipe and used the snow to create a super terrain park unlike anything in the region to challenge the Forumteam. The park included a three-story tall hip, several gap-to-rail features, an 80-foot step-down jump, a 65-foot canon feature, and the 50-foot table with the fiery pole that graced the cover of the magazine.

The team spent five days in early April at Seven Springs filming for their upcoming video, which is available on iTunes or in your local wintersports shop. During this time, Snowboarder magazine produced an editorial piece about Seven Springs for the magazine entitled “Pennsylvania Super Session: Seven Deadly Springs.” The nine-page feature praises the Seven Springs park crew’s innovation, creativity and dedication.

“We chose this cover shot because of its breathtaking qualities, unbelievable action and to support Seven Springs as a resort committed to the progression of snowboarding,” said Pat Bridges, editor of Snowboarder magazine.

“We are really excited to have the cover and several pages in the October issue of Snowboarder magazine,” said Joel Rerko, Director of Action Sports. “The photographer, Tim Peare, and rider Austen Sweetin both showed their amazing talents to get such a unique shot. Everyone involved worked extremely hard for the shoot and we are happy to see the coverage we are getting from it.”

“This is just a start for Seven Springs,” added Rerko. “Our team will continue its commitment to providing our guests and season passholders with creative, challenging and fun progressive parks and pipes.”

The October issue of Snowboarder magazine is on newsstands now.
